The article showcases Mark Shea’s, passion for classic Pontiac GTOs, and how he acquired his special 1966 hardtop coupe from Ed Centofante, known as ‘Pontiac Ed.’ This GTO was a special-order paint option not listed among the standard colors for 1966. Due to the rarity and history of the car, Mark aimed to elevate this restoration project. The car featured extensive factory options including a Tri-Power engine with automatic transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and numerous comfort and convenience upgrades. With the help of Joe Dean and Mike Libardi, both longtime Pontiac enthusiasts, the car was meticulously dismantled and restored, down to the finest of details.
